Those are classed as legitimate coin issues - being listed in the back of the Isle of Man chapter of Krause.

The description of the Exonumia section these items are in is "Internment or prison tokens", which is a good description of these items.

Krause gave them Tn numbers. From the description of Tn numbers (in HOW TO USE THIS CATALOG/TOKEN COINAGE in the 1801-1900 book), Tn items might be accepted in transactions but aren't standard coin issues.

And, most importantly for my addition, two of the three 1941 Onchan items were in Exonumia so I requested the addition the third in the same place.

Internment camps were under the authority of the relevant government.

The Onchan Internment Camp was under the Isle of Man Government.
