Next week, HM. Queen Margrethe II has 50 years jubilee as queen of the Kingdom of Denmark. The 14th of January, to be exact.
This is said to be the 20 and 500 (silver) kroner coin to be released for the occasion (not my picture. I saw it on a Danish coin/numismatic Facebook group and took it).
I just thought I would share (if okay?), since I'm excited for the coin and the event. I like our monarchy, after all And maybe give the foreign collectores an idea of what to expect... Maybe people have an opinion about the coin too?

Queen Margrethe II is pretty popular - as is King Harald V of Norway.
Of course, they are close cousins anyway, as the Royal Family of Norway was originally a cadet branch of the Royal Family of Denmark - as is the Royal Family of Greece.
A Golden Jubilee is a special occasion.
Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee starts on 6 February - & she mentioned this in her 2021 Christmas Message.
She's indeed popular. I heard maybe even more in Greenland and Faroese. Her father and her was one of the first monarchs to wear so called "native clothing". From Greenland and the Faroese in this case.
If we talk about Golden jubilees, then remember the Swedish king, Carl XVI Gustav has 50 years on the throne next year too. He came to the throne in 1973. I find this a bit funny or peculiar, since they're cousins, thruge their granparents, Gustav VI Adolf and Queen Margaret of Sweden. See picture below :)
This picture is about their relation to Queen Victoria, so you can't see the close relation with Norway though
And King Constatin II would have 60 years on the throne in 2 years time (if my math isn't wrong), if not for coup in 1967 and latter decleration of Hellenistic Republic.

Just worried her anniversary will be overshadowed by QE2's one.
I love coins. Especially silver, gold and anything really old.

Yes, 20 kroner for circulation and a 200 silver for collectors.
Now you mention it, yes the reverse has a slight similarity to the 1, 2 and 5 kroner. But there are no holes, just a normal 20 kroner, with another design :)
The reverse is actually ment to be a artistic depiction of the four palaces at Amalienborg Castle, made by the number "50".
For those who don't know, Amalienborg Castle is the primary residens of the royal family.

Yes I read about Amalienborg, its 4 identical pavilions, yet they were all built at different times. The oldest one I think is 18th century (Christian VII or even Frederik V, then one from Frederik VI's time and the last two are very late - Christian IX and X I think).
Regnal dates
Frederik V - 1746 - 1766
Christian VII - 1766 - 1809 (The one who married Caroline Matilda of Great Britain)
Christian IX - 1863 - 1906
Christian X - 1912 - 1947
I also love Rosenborg castle which dates from the early 17th century (Time of Christian IV).
I am really keen on buying that coin - but will be hard from NZ, may try the Danish Royal Mint Page.
