I have a Brazilian banknote, 5 Cruzeiros overprint on 5 Mil Réis, possibly from 1942, like this linked below:

Any ideas on typical value? It's pretty dirty and has been folded, likely for decades.

​At the very least, they are not common. Without photos of the actual note, it is really impossible to offer any kind of valuation. If the note is that dirty, it still may only be worth $1 or less despite how uncommon it is.
