Mike, it was very hot today here in Wellington, New Zealand.

I attended an event where Sir Anand & Susan, Lady Satyanand joined us for lunch.

Sir Anand was a Governor-General here in New Zealand from 2006 to 2011.

I first met him in 2010 - & he remembered me.

Of course, I was happy to chat with him & Lady Satyanand - & they are very down to earth & a real joy to chat to.

Yes, I even took a couple of photos of them.

Wishing the whole world a pleasant turning into the new year ... I thank the world for bringing us a new day at every turn and a new year at every big tour of the sun. Let's agree that the human inhabitants of this earth will make an extra effort in this new year to take care of the planet and ALL its inhabitants.

All take care and may coins/banknotes never be our main concern, but rather a small distraction to our everyday life.
