More than 5 years ago now, when I first started on Numista, I was trying to identify the following......



(I'm actually quite surprised I still have pictures on my 3rd computer :o since then).

I sometimes see these sold for hundreds of dollars (often graded by the same TPG) and I cringe. Heads Up, these are not coins but jewelry pieces. My example was probably made in the 1960's. Here's where my research led me.....

In about 2016-2017, I saw a number of pieces of this sort on eBay and wondered what they were. I came across the page you mention (fellow Numista readers: follow Peter's link and then click on "non California gold token guide" on the left) and got to now that they were neither coins nor trade or currency tokens.
