Any help with this would be very much appreciated. I cannot even make out "monarch's" name/inscription. Much of the inscription is legible but dBase does not offer any possibles.

Weight 1.36g, Diam 18mm

Many thanks for any suggestions or info

Hello Kevin!

Please see this search - https://en.numista.com/catalogue/index.php?r=head+cross&ct=coin&tb=y&tc=y&tn=y&tp=y&tt=y&cat=y&ru=&ca=3&no=&v=&i=&b=&d=&u=&a=&dg=&m=1&f=&t=18&w=1.36&mt=&g=&se=&c=&wi=&sw=

The second coin is similar to yours, maybe not the exact one, but it will help you to narrow it down. I also can see the word "COMES" on the side of the head, from 2 to 6 o'clock.

Best,
Yurii
Many thanks for your interest and information. As you say it would appear to point me in right direction.

Many thanks again

The keyword is "esterlin".

This type appears to be a match: https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces95647.html
Thankyou so much for that. Not an area I'm familiar with at all. The match looks excellent.

Thankyou once again,

Kevin
