As a vexillologist, I like to keep an eye on flags on Numista. You've probably heard the news about Afghanistan (I'm not going to go any further). Is it time to change the flag on Numista?

"Following the Fall of Kabul in 2021, there are two entities claiming to be the legitimate government of Afghanistan, each using a different flag."
Need to be patient and see how things go, it could take a while.
I think it should put in like the flags of Germany between the empire and the third reich.
Hi to whoever is reading this. Did you know that TYPEWRITER (on a QWERTY keyboard) is the longest word you can type using only the letters on one row of the keyboard.

I updated the flag for Afghanistan (you may need to wait for a few days or refresh your cache to see it).
I'm not sure about adding a new ruling authority. We already have many periods for contemporary Afghanistan (Islamic State (1992-2002), Transitional Islamic State (2002-2004), Islamic Republic (2004-date)), and they don't align with the banknotes (for example N#202737 issued from 2002 to 2016). I'm not able to read what is written on the banknote. I don't know which periods would make sense. I suggest this topic should be discussed as a separate topic.
Status changed to Implemented(Xavier, 2 Oct 2023, 11:38)
Xavier, the Islamic Republic ceased to exist in 2021 when the Taliban regime came back.
Like in 1996-2001, the Taliban regime has no international recognition at all.
Aidan.
It should be the new flag.
New notes have been issued so why would you keep the old flag if it is now controlled by the “new” and unrecognized flag. Just like Nagorno-Karabach and Azerbeidzjan were.
