Hi. I sent the data from Keeling Cocos 5 cents 1977 and put it as Exonumia. Ridiculous. The entire series is in Coins. This is part of the series.

It's worth remembering how new the Exonumia catalog still is. For years there were various strategies for dealing with the large volume of items that now belong there. On a volunteer-driven site like Numista it's going to take a considerable amount of time to fully align with a big change like that and obscure items like this aren't exactly high priority. Plus, there are specific conventions for certain countries that don't really apply to others.

The way to handle this is exactly what harryg has suggested: contact the referee for Australia and ask about the item(s) in question. It might be an oversight; it might be the beginning of changing over this series of items. Either way, Numista is a resource that is based on the volunteer labor of people that we should be far more patient and respectful towards.

With an N# 17765 this coin must have been in the catalog since 2010 time frame (pre-exonumia days) so it had to have been migrated over after the exonumia catalog was created. If you sent a new coin request it would have been for one that already existed. Note that all the other ones in the catalog have a Type of "Token" so as seltsamesammler implies the other ones may eventually end up in the exonumia catalog.
