That is a horrible idea and a waste of money - something out government is known all too well for.
I remember a couple of years ago there was some buzz about the treasury minting a trillion dollar coin. Seems the news loves making click-bait out of this one.

Edit: Found a Bloomburg piece from 2013 about this.

Seems like a vague idea some politicians had with no intention of following up, and the news just wants to hype it up to get readers.

But what else is new these days.

Here’s a video that explains it.

I’ve always wondered if Numista would add treasury bonds to the catalogue.

I’ve got one treasury bond from 1945-46 and maybe another (I can’t remember) from the 60s as well.
Hi to whoever is reading this. Did you know that TYPEWRITER (on a QWERTY keyboard) is the longest word you can type using only the letters on one row of the keyboard.

I like the idea of a $1T coin being made, just make sure there's an asterisk on the bottom of the coin card that reads: "this coin is not legal tender".

That would 100% defeat the purpose of making the coin.
its not even economically possible to to that. its creating money, forgiving the debt then maybe destroying it. sad that people don't understand economics
The reason why they wanted to mint this coin is the ease the debt. Problem is they are not solving any issues at all. Lmao...
Be kind to people. Sharing is Caring. Collect what you like and not by the Crowd.
To seek for perfection, it is too painful and there is a very high price to pay. To seek for something comfortable is more easy. To seek for nothing is even more easy.

The government understands economics. What they are doing though is use loopholes in the law to try and free up and extra trillion USD for more stimulus checks and 3.5 trillion USD infastructure bills.

The reason they haven't done yet it though is because it actually doesn't work.

And if made, 7 people on Numista will claim to have it
Might as well make it out of the plutonium.
