I found this box of stuff and was surprised all that was in it, coins, dog tags, pictures, frames, certificates. I spent some time honoring my Dad and put all of it on the wall in my office. The board was fun to make, the Domain of the Dragon thing, I never heard of. I was looking at dates, on the pictures and my Dad was only 17 years old, WOW. What was a South Carolina small town boy doing in San Diego?? He never told me that.
Do the military still get dog tags like that with the tooth bite in them?
Do you know why the medals were issued? If not, do the research and things get even more interesting.
Researching is a brilliant way to enhance the collection, but remember to write it all down and keep it with the collection
As a medal collector, it forms a very important part of any collection.
Great items by the way. Would be interested in an update on the medals
What an amazing collection my friend! your father was a hero i like how everything is framed. I hope you place it in a place where you can see it and always be reminded of him !
Thank all of you for the positive comments. It was an honor to do this for my father, he's got more stuff Im working on, may be awhile before restored.
