Just to be clear: When numista has the agreement to use the pictures of an auction site, they can use the pictures of their coin shop too?

Hi,

I just want to be clear on this topic. Some auction sites also have a normal online shop outside their auctions.
In this list of sources numista can use, there is a link to the websites. Some coin shops have the same URL as the auction sites, but some do not. For example "Teutoburger Münzauktion" which is on the list, has the URL https://www.teutoburger-muenzauktion.de/de/
while the coin shop has the URL https://teutoburgermuenze.com/

I looked into the Impressum of both and (to no surprise) the address is the same.
So I assume that we can use coins from the coin shop too, even tho it's not explicitly on the list.

I bet there are other sites with the same thing. Do we have to look in the Impressum every time to make sure? Maybe they can be added to that list too?

Best,

We have permission to use images of "Teutoburger Münzauktion GmbH", and the credit line says "Teutoburger Münzauktion".

This is a different company to "Teutoburger Münzhandel GmbH" (likely very much related), but to be safe we should get their permission and have a dedicated credit line. Otherwise, it might be wrong to attribute photos of Münzhandel to Münzauktion.
Thanks for the reply,
so who's "job" is that? Is that something admins do or are users just writing e-mails to various companies all the time?
Seems like it would be more professional when workers of the numista website do such things.

Trooper
I normally send a mail to the site administrator to ask. Up to now I've only had 1 refusal to use their images for my variant documentations.
