Hi, three of the banknotes listed, and illustrated in this section are probably counterfeit, or more accurately are children's toys.
The three notes are : 1$, 1862, (serial No 355), N# 274307 ; 2$, 1862, (serial No 2473), N#274313; & 100$, 1964, (serial No 801), N# 274323.
In the early 1960's Topps Co. Inc. sold trading cards called "Civil War News". Each of which comprised of a (usually) gory picture card, a piece of chewing gum and a copy of a Confederate banknote. There is a website dedicated to these cards and each of the banknotes are illustrated on the page : bobheffner.com/cwn/a_indexmoney.shtml. The above notes are shown here with identical serial numbers.
The "Confederate States Dollar" page in wikipedia illustrates all the banknotes actually issued during the war.
I am old enough to have purchased the cards at the time, I did so and I am still the proud owner of the 100$ bill- No 801!
Thanks Peter Horton.
