Hi,

Last year was implemented the super feature to align shapes with a predifined shapes list.
That make it super easy now to describe your coin shape.
But when it comes to holes coins or tokens it's easy to put Round instead of Round with a hole.
The problem is with the current shape we try to describe the external shape giving details of the internal hole.

Why instead we just use the current field shape to only describe the external shape and we add a second field for the hole description (something like the bimetalic coins).

So, for this one: https://fr.numista.com/catalogue/exonumia268377.html
We would have:
Shape: Round
Hole: Round

From technical point of view that is better.

I am not sure about a dedicated field for hole shapes. There are many coins with multiple holes:

But we do have a new Numisdoc for shapes:

I've got your point, but how will you describe this same coin in the Numisdoc because the current illustration is a star hole, nothing comparable with multi cutout.

In the new situation this coin will get:
Shape: Round
Cutout: Multy holes

And when this one will get:
Shape: Round
Cutout: Multy holes

I feel that this way is better than the current one.
Always look on the bright side of life!
