Military veterans support Group

I have come across many veterans from all over here in Numista a I think it’s safe to say no matter what country or branch you fought in we all find a way to relate to one another. I think this would be a great thread where all our fellow veterans can come together and get some support from others when they need it. There are too many vets out there that are going through stuff that don’t have a good support group and I feel like this may be a easy one we could start no matter of branch or even country. We have a lot of life experiences between us all and if we can help just Someone that’s having a bad day or trying to work through something it will be well worth it.

Welcome to the thread Mimael I just thought it might be a good way for all of us to reach out to each other not necessarily to put our business out into public view but just so we know there are others like us. I really hope this can bring together a nice group of guys that will be there for one on other if ever there is a time of need. We all have our demons some more than others and I know from in the past it’s always good to have someone to reach out to. I figured this is just a small way we can off support to one another if we can’t find it elsewhere and enjoy the hobby at the same time.

Thank you for your service to the world

Your good man you can post whatever you want on the thread I was just saying you don’t have to. I actually thought it was pretty interesting finding out you were eod you guys do amazing work and save the lives of so many with it. I just know some people don’t want to post all their personal business for the world to see and I was saying they don’t have to.

Hello U. S. military vet here was drafted in 1972, felt good doing what I was doing so stayed, retired 1992. Now living in Germany. Finding all this different kinds of money before the euro and started collecting them. Now got quit a collection. Now mainly save American and German by date and mint Euro by country and 5 euro banknote by country and series letter. Meant a lot of good people here and had a lot of good swaps. Hope everyone is healthy and safe.

Thank you for your service! I bet it was really nice being able to be so close to all those countries and getting your hands on all those different coins prior to the Euro. That is one thing I find fascinating about Europe you can travel a few hours and be in another country while here in the US you can travel for a few hours and still be in the same state or even a day and still be in the same country. I wish I would have collected coins prior to my retirement so that I could have gotten stuff much easier.

That's what I keep telling family back home. They take a vacation and still be at least in the states. To where I can travel a couple hours in any direction and be in a different country. To bad I didn't start collecting until they already changed to the euro. I always got a few coins before the change and sent them to my mother. My mother passed away and I was able to get all those coins or most of them.
Anybody need Canadian coins? My mother liked Canada best so I've got a lot of Canadian coins.

Have a nice weekend.

,, Myeackle,, -I'm back on duty, justice has found its way-and I found emotional zeal again. Thanks for understanding ,I am principled and this is also a consequence of the service.

,,David52,,-I take it that after( service soldiers) you stayed in Germany .....
,,Shortly after the revolution -we were company commanders middle circuit ,, Moravia ,, --selection for an internship at at the American base near the Czech border ( About 100-150 km in the direction of Marianske Lazne )
Huge base - just in front of the entrance to the American Car Bazaar ( The first shock of a beautiful car at that time in our country unreleased)
I don't remember the name of the place anymore, I just know it was before July https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Independence_Day_(United_States)
they had a lot of enthusiasm in the stadium and they were making preparations. I enjoyed elementary school with the principal , The head of culture in a leather cap was like a drug dealer , there was a perfect priest. Eating was a huge experience.
It was immediately after the revolution -therefore it was shocking. ( I met "american engineer tank-*fixed" in the workshops, so I was the company commander- engineering, The workshop boss was surprised to find that I knew the technique.
Even though I was in Belgium somewhere next to a nuclear power plant ,,Liege,, or something like that I decided to go to events abroad -and I worked under the British command for the first time for 1 year in the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina, etc., etc.
So a few experiences and I wish everyone good health.
