Coronet Head??

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if anyone can help me with this? I acquired these coins from my grandmother a few years ago. She in turn obtained these from my great granddad. I am not sure whether they are fake or real US 10 dollar Coronet Head as the coins are badly damaged- has oxidation (I thought gold doesn't oxidise) and it doesn't weigh 16g.

For me these coins look like cast (bronze? brass?) copies.
