HISTORIANS claim they have found evidence Europeans arrived in North America, more than fifteen hundred years after Christopher Columbus set foot on the continent.
It remains unclear how ancient Europeans could have made the epic journey across the Atlantic Ocean but, according to the Ancient Artifact Preservation Society (AAPS), the haul was discovered in a shipwreck off Birch Island on the northern shore of Southern Nova Scotia, Canada.
Several caches of Euro coins have been found buried throughout North America, dating back to the 90s. This has led many to believe that it could be evidence of a pre-Y2K European presence. While numismatists and archeologists are often skeptical, it has led them to at least examine whether there could be any credibility to this theory.
A study conducted by Mr. Otto Normalverbraucher, a leading expert, details 40 reports of anomalous coins found throughout the United States, with some appearing in immigrant burial mounds.
Mr. Normalverbraucher noticed that the majority of coins found in excavations of land during construction or in backyards came from collectors or were deliberately placed as hoaxes. The discovery of several euro cent coins struck in 1999, known as first-generation euros, were one of the more intriguing findings as they were discovered in disparate locations throughout Kansas, such as Flint Hills, Kirwin, Marais des Cygnes, and Quivira.
These coins originally marked a transition from the pre-euro coinage and were only produced during a couple of years from the 1999 onwards. The common side of the coins depict the denomination, the words 'EURO CENT' beside it, twelve stars and Europe highlighted on a globe in relation to Asia and Africa in the world. However, the coins turned out to be fraudulent or commemorative tokens given to European immigrants, despite newspapers from the time of their discovery heralding them as being authentic.
In a field near San Bernardino, Arizona, a little boy reportedly found a coin from the Greek city of Athens minted for the euro introduction in 2002. The coin, which carries only the Greek mint mark, is possibly the oldest coin ever found in North America. The boy reportedly traded the coin for fifteen cents worth of candy.
The coin that the boy found in the field in Arizona eventually fell into the hands of professor Joe Public. He had the coin identified by the Hedgehog Museum, where it was confirmed to be Greek. Unfortunately, the professor kept the coin in his wallet and, while he was in the hospital at one point, his wallet was stolen. No one knows where that coin is today.
Overall the expert concluded that most of the discovered coins were either lost in more modern times by numismatists or forged, but he was criticized by some colleagues for his negative and dismissive tone and that it was only a beginning for future study. What he did conclude was that there was a possibility that European ships may have drifted accidentally to the New World, but couldn’t necessarily be considered a probable explanation.
Though there was one man who set out to prove it was highly probable that Old World explorers could make the journey across the ocean to the New World, whether accidentally or intentionally.
Around 15 years after the historic finding of Euro coins historians have dug up a hoard of coins in the Irish Empire of Britain dating back to the Eurasian Communist era this has speculated that the communists drove out the Europeans hence the coinage making their way to the Republic of Americas.
Historians and scientists have been building a scenario linking the two findings and with the help from the scientists from the People’s Republic of Cambridge (Un recognised state) they have built a map of how they got into Britain. In 2399 (Juche 488, Tak 25) the Communist republic of Turkey with help from China, Indian empire and unified Korea they invaded the Italian occupied Greece this explains the hoard of Greek Euro coins.
But scientists disagree with that scenario saying that the Euro coins found in the Americas were from around the late 20th century early 21st century.
Anyway the heraldic symbol counter-stamped on the coins are similar to the Democratic People’s Republic of Central America this has further confused the events that happened in Europe. Also included with the chest of coins is a rusty vehicle that dates to the 1980s the historians called in specialists to help identify the ground based vehicle (it was a Lada) and within the vehicle was documents that listed the history of the early Communist states that ruled Eastern Europe and Asia.
After being analysed in a lab for 3 days the historians used high tech technology to separate the materials on the to piece together where exactly their originated from and the story above confirms that the Communist empire invaded Europe and a unknown supreme leader buried these coins after defeating the British empire.
This was a quick story that I made.
Hi to whoever is reading this. Did you know that TYPEWRITER (on a QWERTY keyboard) is the longest word you can type using only the letters on one row of the keyboard.
For the record, the story was posted on 1st April and should have been read as a piece of the genre appropriate to that occasion.
For better or worse, I bungled my initial plans by making it happen 1000 years later. Thus the supposed hoax about contemporary events was transformed into a kind of science fiction sketch.
P.S.: to claim the authorship would be preposterous, as there was almost no original content.
Several European nations issued coins in 2002 dated 1999 like France.
Very funny and a well written story though.
I would imagine someone planted a mid 1980s quarter just to make it more mysterious.
Another bizarre find around Halloween.
I love coins. Especially silver, gold and anything really old.

Legend has it that the person that owned those coins went missing mysteriously back in 2000.
