How many countries are There left without Numista members?
Hi to whoever is reading this. Did you know that TYPEWRITER (on a QWERTY keyboard) is the longest word you can type using only the letters on one row of the keyboard.
With the increase in the number of members, from August 2019 my equipment no longer has the capacity to continue my statistical studies.
How many countries are There left without Numista members?
As of August 1, 2019: 231 countries were represented by at least 1 member,
15,684 out of 109,033 members still registered did not indicate a country in their profile
Could get now and then a list of all the countries member numbers?
The last one registered at this precise moment bears the number 186763

I'm afraid a lot of these just got a coin, thought they won the world and wanted to know the value. They're not collectors, probably never will, so they can't enter coins in their collection. I think it will be very difficult to improve the percentage of members who enter coins.
This situation is not new:
at the end of July 2016 out of 45,095 registrations, 36,727 were still members
and 17,876 or 48.67 % had 0 coins in collection 180 had registered in 2007
but 1,059 of these still posted at least one message on one or the other forum
probably on "Coin identifications and valuations"
otherwise there are occasional registrations such as the 50,000th or spamers
PS :the figures of the "0 coins" do not take into account the members who hide the quantity of their collections, this one is then indicated 'N / A"
These "New User Stats" are always interesting 'Cerulean.' Thanks for sharing.
I am just wondering whether this increase in registrations will end once the vaccines get out and there is some progress towards pre-pandemic normal. Will people always get more involved in the hobby online? Will collectors turn to forums like Numista or prefer posting modern coins/notes on SM (like IG & Reddit)? Will this increase trend in members only be temporary, so long as the pandemic forces people to stay home, or will it continue? Will things get back to pre-pandemic 'normal' or is this just 'wishful thinking?' A lot of pundits out there predict that there will never be a 'pre-pandemic normal' again: that is silly notion. They figure the world has forever changed: including more online work, more online commerce, (etc).
As I said I’ve always wondered which country the Numista member is from because a couple of weeks ago I was on a rival coin forum (forgot the name and there was a map of it) which the website had registered users from and even though it had less members than here but it was more diverse. I think it had at least one member from all countries except From 5 only. It even had at members from Bermuda, French Polynesia, Syria, DPRK, some remote African countries among others.

We also have members from all these counties:
Bermuda: 10 members
French Polynesia: 29 members
New Caledonia: 31 members
Syria: 38 members
North Korea: 2 members
Which remote African countries you're talking about? We have for instance:
Benin: 28 members
Central African Republic: 2 members
Chad: 2 members
Eritrea: 1 member
Eswatini: 29 members
Gabon: 9 members
Gambia: 7 members
Lesotho: 19 members
Niger: 4 members
Tanzania: 74 members
Togo: 21 members
We even have members from Tokelau (1), Tonga (2), Vanuatu (5), Kiribati (2),...
Of course there will be countries with no members, I'm not going to check every country. The only country I know for sure up to now is Samoa.

I was talking about counties such as Ethiopia, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Republic of Congo,Tanzania and among others.
I always thinking when we would get a member in the Artic or Antartica but it would be only a scientist due to the reason that there is no population there.

How do you get the information because when I look on the members map it doesn’t have some of the ones you mentioned?

I see 3 possible reasons for a user not to enter a single coin to their collection:
They wanted to enter their collection, but they didn't manage to do so. Perhaps this could be improved with better user guides, and better indications after users open their account.
They joined Numista for another reason than collection management, for example contributing to the catalogue or discussing on the forum. This sounds perfectly legitimate to me and there is no need to change.
They joined but they didn't find what they expected. I have no statistics, but I have the feeling this category counts for the biggest part of the 77%. I would be interested to have more feedback from those users.
For example, I'm always surprised when new members contact me with "I just joined to sell my coins, how can I do it?". Should I enhance the sign up page to better describe what you will find with an account and especially what you will not find (e.g. selling)?

Possibly a interactive tutorial and when a new function is pressed such as coin catalog it has a brief overview of what you can type and search for.
Second ideas is a help forum page where experienced users can post a topic for each function such as adding a coin, setting up a swap list amount others.
Finally this was mentioned in a different post is about uploading home done videos of people explaining each function of the page and other stuff such as identifying fakes how to grade coins and search for variety on certain years.

They don't have a part right now, but they might have some tomorrow ...
if they haven't already had one
we can learn from their profile
by taking back those who had no room in July 2016
and by extracting those for whom we had ONLY ONE part of information:
18 had at least one country in collection so they had coins
7 had received an appraisal so they traded or sold
793 had posted on a forum: information? Evaluation? ...
130 had coins to exchange but none in collection
229 could only have registered to communicate a personal website

Never heard about Numisdoc?
Yes I have but probably didn’t think about it during the time that I posted.
