On the features block when looking at Canadian notes it states the King or Queen reigning at the time. The header can have either value. I suggest the header should be Monarch not the gendered word.
I would even suggest removing it as it adds little value. If the monarch is on the note it will be in the description.
Canada is an independent Dominion of the British Commonwealth, therefore, it does make sense to include the monarchs being listed - considering that Queen Elizabeth II is as much Queen of Canada as she is Queen of the U.K..

That's the worst suggestion I've seen. What's wrong with King and Queen? Should we change it for coins too?
You have missed the point. Two ideas are put forward. The tag should be monarch which allows both a king or queen not each one separately.
I do not dispute the constitutional monarchy but say it is of little numismatic value if the monarch's visage is contained in the description.
Unfortunately, monarch is not synonomous with king or queen, since it can refer to other titles of rulers, such as Emperor, Empress, Grand Duke, Grand Duchess, Prince, Princess, etc. The description will often not include the title, so there is some value to including it elsewhere.
