Easiest and hardest modern countries to Obtain.

Hi users of Numista
This is a part 2 of a topic that haven’t posted since late 2015.

What is the easiest and hardest modern countries to obtain because I have a personal goal to get at least 3 coins from every country that has existed since the 1900s.

For my area the UK the most easiest countries to get are France, Spain, Germany and Ireland mostly from the 1920s onwards. Most of the other countries I get are not commonly found in coin lots
but are accessible when search specifily for the coin.

The hardest countries to obtain so far in my opinion is Sudan, Iran ,Syria (post 1990 coins) and DPRK


Please can you give me you side of the easiest and hardest countries to obtain of course this would differ from country to country this would help me in advance on how long I would need to search for coins that come from that country.

If the title doesn't make sense it means how many coins from that country you encounter in your hunts.

​Thank you very much this was the thing that I was looking for this. This is a good guide on how much I’m going to struggle with the last few countries and would be paying a good chunk of money to get them.

Im surprised at how common some of the countries that I class as “rare” like Cuba or Iran for example maybe their common at coin shows and shops but quite rare on Ebay where I get some of my coins from due to the sanctions.

Thanks for the offer but I’m sticking to just buying lots from Ebay and local auction houses but you can PM me the pictures of some of the coins so I can show them to family members who live elsewhere.

With that there would be a lot more people searching on many different sites instead of me just typing in all the denominations to get round the banned countries on Ebay which takes time.
