🧐🧐🧐their is a topic of a coin from Gibraltar 1997 cannon 2 pound coin viranium material. which I made a forum post about it before asking and saying I think it dont exist done loads of research on this coin . only 7 percent claim it on numista that have it and I say it's wrong any way to know who those 7 percent are so can ask if they can check if the coin they added on numista catalogue is the 1997 cannon 2 pound coin viranium please is their any way to get this information. I'm desperate to know the answer of this .pobjoy claims to have made it and it is mentioned in pobjoy catalogue but i petonaly think it's wrong. I personaly contacted pobjoy they say they made it but I think their archives are wrong on this . never seen 1 and have asked loads of people and looked in loads of places . can anyone help me resolve this mysterious situation. me as a Gibraltar numista need to know If does exist please help .not 1 of this coins the 1997 cannon coins sold on Ebay or on any aution site I have checked . I think that the last cannon made was verarrium material coin 2 pound coin 1996 .and then they made the 1997 lion Hercules coin bi metallic 2 pound coin . if any person can help on this information please do so .I have personaly mesaged Xavier and wait for reply .I know his busy but can anyone help 🧐🧐🧐

I only have a few (no 2 pound) but am not a serious collector of Gibraltar coins, however I love a mystery and a good hunt. I've spent some time on internet searches and while multiple coin sites list a 1997 cannon Gibraltar 2 pound coin (e.g. Numista, NGC, Colnect, worldcoingallery) I couldn't find a picture of one or anybody trying to sell one.

but colnet gets alot of info from numista they copy lots of info from this sight .was do you think of this hunt . I'm super interested in knowing the truth
I think that if this coin exists there would be someone selling or auctioning it off. I certainty haven't done an exhaustive search so there may be something I've missed but for a coin this recent and seemingly very rare there should be some information about it. However, a lack of proof that it does exist isn't proof that it doesn't exist.

yes very true .that's why I ask if admins of this sight could contact that 7 percent which is minimum. it could help all numistas in answering this mystery. thanks for commenting and if find any more info would be appreciated. has this happened with other coins in numista that you know of any country??
