I would appreciate any additional info that anyone could provide for this coin. I Want to add it to the catalog.

It is supposed to be Gepids Uncertain King, 454-552 silver 1/4 Siliqua, Theodoric monogram. Not sure of the lettering on either side.
Hello,

Its weight and diameter will be very helpful.

Damn, you have 282 countries already in your collection. It is even more than mine with 281. Congratulations!
Damn, I missed that auction on eBay that you won. I hate it when you need to type "gepids" in search but "gepid" doesn't show up. I would have been your auction rival if I saw it;)
I saw the weight to be 0.53 g and the diameter to be 15 mm on the auction description.

I believe it is this one, the writing on the obverse says "VINVICT * ROMAN *", I believe. And I think you can see "ANASTASIVS", but it may be a stretch. It mentions that "The exact lettering of the surrounding legend may vary". If you find some specialized literature, maybe the variations are better described, but for the Numista catalog, my guess will be this one.

I think you are right on the match to the Numista entry. Somehow I had missed the notation that "The exact lettering of the surrounding legend may vary" I think this covers the fact that the legend on the coin can't be determined precisely.

I have had a lot of time on my hands lately, so I've been able to do a lot of coin hunting to fill in the gaps of the countries I didn't have yet. I got a few from members like you and grinya. Some not very difficult coins on ebay that I had never gotten around to buying in the past.

I rarely look for ancients on ebay because of all the fakes and just happened to stumble across this Gepid coin. I' sure you would have been a fierce bidding competitor had you seen it.

Yeah, I saw that Grinya is the only one who has Taman Goths' coins for swapping. But I am looking for it on Ukrainian auctions, rarely but they pass by there.

By the way, I have something else coming from Europe in the mail in March that you may be interested in as well. I will keep it a secret for now:)
Check Vcoins for Taman Goths. Enter "Taman" into the search bar.

Thank you! I have seen those, but I am waiting/looking for something under $30-40 for them. Something like thishttps://auction.violity.com/search/result?auction_id=174&query=%D0%A2%D0%B0%D0%BC%D0%B0%D0%BD%D1%81%D0%BA%D0%B8%D0%B9+%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BD%D0%B0%D1%80%D0%B8%D0%B9&show_type=2&phrase=1&title=on
Those would be a good deal. Good luck.

There's an advantage to speaking languages besides English. I miss most of the auctions from a lot of countries.
See the following, and if its not there, message the author so that the catalogue can be improved...
