Italian lira banknotes were issued by the British military administration in Libya in 1943 and were in use until early 1952. All of them except one are under ‘unspecified currency’ and the one that isn’t is under the Italian lira (1861-2001). Please create a currency called ‘Military Authority - Lira’ and a ruling authority called ‘British Military Authority in Tripolitania’ to fix the problem.
The currency should be given as 'Military Authority Lira'.

The notes are inscribed 'Military Authority in Tripolitania'.

Hello,

My understanding is that these banknotes only circulated in the British occupation zone:

So I think we need a new issuer:
-- Libya, British Military Administration of (1942-1951)

Then we can add the Lira as its currency

:wiz:
Tripolitania is located in the north-western part of Libya.

The title should be 'Military Administration in Tripolitania', like it says on the notes.

The currency is the Military Authority Lira (M.A.L.).

This is now added under Tripolitania.
