Please post your best specimens of repunched dates....or are they really Machine doubling?
Have any misplaced dates? MPD's
I'm sure theres quite a few specimens world wide coins with some crazy looking dates .
hidden punches of dates in denticles or devices on the coin.
I will start with some 1869's & 1968 U.S. Shield nickels.

so how does different type numerals get used to punch a date into a working die?
MPD 's another love of mine in the numismatic world of varieties.... what reasons were these numbers struck into the denticals or devices on a coin? Do these occure on world coins as well U.S. coins?
Lets see what's out there.....
U.S. seated coinage is great place to start your hunt.... this 1876 seated quarter is a R-7 very rare <10 known!
it carries a premium factor of 3.0 x~ 4.0 x grey sheet.

that my oldest one
It is, what it is, or is it.
