UK STD-E 40 telephone token

2 posts • viewed 96 times
Hi everyone,

There is a token with STD-E 40, listed as a UK Telephone token: https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces59869.html

I'm wondering if anyone has any kind of reference to back that up?

There is a https://e-service.co.uk/ who make tokens, so that may well be the UK link. I'm wondering if maybe whoever submitted the page has perhaps used one in a telephone in the UK or something?

Or is there a reference guide for UK telephone tokens anywhere please?

Hi Quentin,

For Great britain telepghon token you can double check here.

If you look for reference books for Great britain only you can have a look at
R Hayes -British Machine Tokens 1986 (I can not confirm if there is any telephone token on this book as I don't own it myself) but it's a reference for machine tokens.
Now as I don't know any Great britain special telepgone refrefence book I use H.A. Groenendijk - Catalog of Telephone and Telegraph Tokens 1989 but can't find it inside.

Last year I purchased the Cobra's collection of worldwide telephon tokens and it's inside. But can't say much as I am still working to organise my collection.
Always look on the bright side of life!
