Have you ever found coin in interesting/weird place?

Today my sister (who works at a supermarket) found this commemorative silver 5 pengΕ‘ from 1938 in the self-service checkout cash register. Somebody throwed in, but stucked in the register (obviously, in Hungary we use a totally diferrent coins at present) and the next customer couldn't use.

Have. 50 Cents in a toilet bowl. Had to flush it and took it out, wash it again and spend it.
Be kind to people. Sharing is Caring. Collect what you like and not by the Crowd.
To seek for perfection, it is too painful and there is a very high price to pay. To seek for something comfortable is more easy. To seek for nothing is even more easy.
I know it's not a coin but I was metal detecting for coins at the time , I seriously thought I had found a gold bar buried 10 cms down between two tree roots, it turned out to be a bar of chocolate in a gold foil wrap!
What was weird/interesting ( after the initial disappointment had dispersed.. πŸ˜‚ ) was that we had just had 2 huge heatwaves in the same summer ( in the 40's!! ) and it was immaculate even though the paper wrapper has disintegrated!
Sorry that wasn't a coin story. πŸ™‚πŸ™ƒπŸ˜‰πŸ‘πŸ˜‚

My chickens dug up a Napoleon III 1855 5 centimes coin in their run ..that was the day they won their freedom 12 years ago to use the whole garden, we have moved house since then and they now have one and a half acres to dig about in and this is the result ( below )
Chickens are worth their weight in ( erm.. silver here! 🀣 ) they dug up a pre French revolution stamp/seal and a 1916 silver 50 centimes.
Who says chickens are dumb! 😍🀣

Why thank you kind sirπŸ˜„....( I'm presuming that you're a sir, because I read a thread on the forum earlier today that said that there were only 3 ladies here ...gasp! 😲, never?! lol!).

I have a story to tell about women and collecting, but maybe later! πŸ™‚πŸ˜‰πŸ‘

That was probably a nerdy joke & yes I'm a man (not so sure about the kind sir part but I try to play nice on these forums).

On my first coin show I think I saw about 3 women in the entire bourse! Fortunately, things have changed (& I will never forget seeing an attractive coin dealer & trying not to stare, nor bumping into others B.).

Looking forward to your collecting stories! πŸ‘

In the 'My account settings' section it says ...
Avatar - 100px Γ— 100px max - 30 kB max
and your picture is 200px x 239px and 13.1 kB
so I reduced the size and this below should now work as an avatar ...
