Hi
I need an expert opinion, when and why the coin was minted.
In my opinion (and not only that) it is false.
What is the purpose of minting a coin known to be non-original?
There is an EINE RUPIE on the original coin.

My best guess is that the counterfeiters faked some 2 rupien coins as well and got confused somewhere along the way. Judging by the quality of the coin it was likely intended as a cheap souvenir to be sold in flea markets. I can’t say when it was minted as counterfeits have likely been produced since the times in which the originals circulated but I would say it’s a far more recent fake. Please do take my opinion with a grain of salt though, I’m nowhere near an expert in this.

HI Chemik
sad to tell you but it is a fake it shoud read Eine Rupie ( one rupee ) in stead it shows Eine Rupien which would translate to one rupees .The weight should be 11.66 gr 0,917 Ag.Here i Germany they sell for about 80 - 150 euro depending on condition reason enough to copy the coin.
