Can someone help identify this Arabic coin with a tughra? It is approximately 18mm in diameter. Thanks for your help.

this is not a coin, this is a decoration for a monisto ...

Thanks. That was very helpful. How would it be attached to the women? Would they drill a hole in it? Any idea what country this "coin" is from?

​yes, mostly, they have a hole drilled through.
however they were not always attached to clothing, they were also passed out to every wedding guest as memento.

I have such coins.
These are copies issued by the Principality of Serbia in the 19th century with the permission of the sultan due to the lack of coins: see Mandić, 2013 p. 43.
I am a Bosnian zoologist employed at the Faculty of Science in Sarajevo as a full professor.
