Old penny found in the mountains

Hi everybody. As some of you know my son and I hunt pioneer sites in the mountains of the Pacific Northwest, and we came up with a very old coin this time! I think we may have found an area of commerce. Have found a bunch more since then.

here’s our little adventure video if you want to see the coin and check it out

Hi, I love the video you have made, it is very interesting and instructive because you not only show what you find but also explain its history. Really interesting all the video, congratulations!

Very enjoyable video.
Would like to know more about the brass cartridge.
Pictures, dimensions and rudimentary conservation might disclose caliber.
Caliber might indicate in what rifle it was used.

1909 is not really very old.

Very old to me is like pre 1750. I guess in America it is though, the video was a hoot with the mushrooms - did they find some magic ones?
I love coins. Especially silver, gold and anything really old.
