Hammered or Milled? Which is better?

What are people's favorite coin types? I remember seeing my first hammered coin and from that day my coin addiction began!!!!
I collect both types but hammered are just so cool-looking that I can't get enough!!!!
Well I don't like hammered, so it is milled for me.  :)

Coins are the only way that ordinary people can afford fine art. The works of the great engravers, recently discussed would be way beyond the budget of any of us here were it not for the fact that they are mass produced on coinage. I began collecting coins more than 40 years ago, inspired by the engravings in an old B A Seaby catalog.

Hammered coins have a much greater historical significance but due to the low mintages, frequency of clipping or shaving and heavy wear it is very difficult to find examples which are both affordable and aesthetically pleasing.
Non illegitimis carborundum est.  Excellent advice for all coins.
