choosing from a swap list by coin material

Colleagues, am I right in thinking that I have to go through a swap list given by a fellow collector and which is pages and pages long, know the coins by heart or click on each one, to find out page by page, if the coins are of silver, silver proof, gold, gold proof and so on and so on? Tks

I agree. I think they should add a feature that sorts the coins by silver and other metals. I am unaware if they have one but I think it would be a great idea. I don't want to spend all of my time looking at coins I am not interested in.

I think that if they did this though, their ad revenue would decrease significantly because people wouldn't be spending as much time on the website scrolling through coins.
Well cool, you can suggest it in the numista website part :O

If you don't want to waste your time scrolling through endless lists or get disappointed when you thought that someone has 100s of coins that might interest you has nearly none ... I would recommend that you spend some time editing your wish-list then filter against that.

For example add a criterion with 'all coins with the composition precious' or 'no coins with the composition non precious'.

Done! Tks so much! I was turning down lots of swappers because they had tens of pages and I just don’t have the time to go through them. For all who care to read this. Go to my wishes and look for the dropdown. It’s easy but still not very user friendly, as you wil get all silver and all gold together. Selecting proof is not an option but it is a huuuge leap for mankind, sorry for us!😂

I didn’t see this drop down when I first joined Numista. Has it been there for long? Tks again Idolenz.

That dropdown has been there for a long time, and I can also totally recommend working on a good wishlist (either with criteria on this page or by marking individual coins on their respective pages). It helps greatly to find fitting fellow swappers.

No new swaps for the moment, still too many half-ongoing swaps to clean up!

tks will practice. I now have added 2 seprate criterions, gold and silver and next time I just go to my wishes and select one of them to search. How they work when I get a swap request from a member with a huge swap list, is not clear to me but I will find out.

now, we just need the proof option, in tags or somewhere else. Tks Bram!

When viewing coins in a swap, you can select the filter "Show only coins and banknotes I wish" ... makes life a lot easier :wiz:

I do not want to burden your patience with me. What you write is correct but that still only shows me all silver and gold coins together, right? Also, using the criterion selection I get shown members in countries I will never swap with because of customs or sheer shipping risk. Also the dropdown Issuing or Ruling Authority does not allow for selection by country, only all countries or tokens, again without country selection. It is a step forward though. Tks!

Just looked at the criterion page. Would be nice to add a condition criterion.
