Any recommended books/articles about Japanese coinage? [solved]

5 posts • viewed 93 times
I'm looking for some information about Japanese coins from the late Edo period to the Meiji era (around 1850-1900). Ideally, it would be great to find out about the history of these coins, and how it relates to the changes Japan was undergoing at the time. Are there any recommended books/articles dedicated to this topic? Thanks!

There are many papers and journals that have the Meiji restoration as a subject combined with the term money a google search will bring up many hits. Depending how good your Japanese is the easier you will find sources that answer your questions.
