Entering coins - values

When entering coins, once you assign a grade, are the coin values automatically added from your database or is this something you must do yourself?

If it did cost you anything to acquire the coin than enter your value (or even the face value if you just found it in your pocket change). Numista will use that value when calculating average value for the grade you've indicated. This does not mean that Numista value will get assigned to your particular entry. To re-phrase, if you enter your own value that is what is stored and you see it anytime you look at your won entry. If you leave it empty, it stays empty for you. When you're looking at the coin page/sheet, you see Numista's calculated values broken down by grades, if enough data (values) has been entered by users.
