It only partly matches the photo in the citation on one side, but it does match this coin in Zeno

https://www.zeno.ru/showphoto.php?photo=240134

listed as Maratha Confederacy, Shivarai or Chhatrapati paisa KM #267.

I believe these were made throughout much of the 18th century, but could not find reliable dates.
Thanks for that. I'm a bit confused - the Zeno image is a better match, but the description and KM # are the same. Could it be that the Numista image is just a poor example?

KM# 267 for Maratha Confederacy is now a 1 rupee coin:

No idea which KM# number your coin now has. Maybe KM# 4? But without pictures it's difficult to tell:

The numista listing is correct with old KM#267 (New KM#72). It is called "do dundi" paisa for having two lines in the legend. ("do dundi" literally mean two lines)

Your coin is old KM#266 (New KM#71) - Zeno link have incorrect KM#

Even the obverse inscription on the ngccoin link is incorrect

Obverse inscription : shri/ ra ja /sh iv (श्री / रा जा / शि व)
Reverse inscription : chha tra/ pa ti (छ त्र / प ति)

Strange, although the NGC site says KM# 41, I can't find a KM# 41 in Krause, only a KM# 42:

The KM# 266 is a silver rupee so the numbers in my edition (2014) must already have been changed, but there is no KM# 41?
Actually the new KM# should be KM#71

KM# messed with the image and so I went to wrong KM#. Should have checked the description x.

I can find the old KM's in an older version. These are from the 3rd edition (2002):

But I can't find those new KM's in my, what I thought was the latest, edition. From which edition and which page comes your last picture?

EDIT: Apparently there is a big difference between the 6th and 7th edition. These coins are nowhere in the 6th edition but they do turn up again in the 7th edition with the new KM's.

Ok. The second picture was from the book "South Asian Coins and Paper Money (Indian Edition)" by Krause Publications. This edition only lists Indian coins.

So am I right in identifying my coin as KM# 266? This is not listed in Numista, so should I submit it? Thanks for all the help.

Yes it is KM#266 (new KM#71) and not listed on Numista. It will be helpful if you add it.
