Thank you for your comment and Yes i have given up the hobby and decided to distribute my huge collection free all over the world.

That is an amazing thing! It’s good to be generous, I don’t want to stop you from giving away your beautiful coins, but why do you stop collecting? Perhaps give away a large portion and keep some and take a break, it might be that you just need some time away doing something else and come back to it later. There is so much value from coins for us to learn about history and culture, plus each one is a little work of art. It’s like having a history and art museum in your cabinet!

​Yes you are correct its like having a museum in my drawer. I have been doing this for nearly 50 years. Spend thousands of rupees in this hobby and I am really sad that no one to carry out my work. All my sons they have other hobbies they are not interested in Numismatics.

I am now in my 60’s so after me it will stay in my wardrobe. So I thought of without wasting my good work I should give them to people who are really interested all over the world. Sending letters is painful work these days. But will continue to do it. Some local venders offer me a large sum of money for my collection which has many valuable ancient pieces. But I denied their offers just because they are sellers. Sometimes I help local collectors by giving them the Coins which are missing in their collection.

But I really like to send them to the world. Sri Lanka has very rich Coin history if you like to read about it please refer the following web site which describe A to Z of Sri Lankan Coin History.

Your only 60, you might live to be 89 and as you get older coin collecting might be all you have left for a hobby. So my advice is give away some, and keep some, and buy some ;)
