I have several "collections" in Numista. Can I sort them out and list only a certain collection on Excel. Or can I separate the collections in the collection column in excel

If you tick the right option for the export then yes.
I have tried all the options...it still lists all my coins in all collections. I need to separate them out. Give me a little guidance please...

If you want to export your collection to Excel there are only four choices to do so:
- All coins
- Swap list
- Coins not for swap
- Coins marked as wished

I usually choose 'Coins not for swap'. Make sure you have checked 'Collection' (way down where you can select which parameters to export).

Once you have your Excel file, you can sort by the column 'Collection'. Select what you need and export to a new Excel sheet of file...

Hope this helps a bit 😉
If you have selected the column 'collection' there shouldn't be any problem to sort your coins/banknotes thereafter as you please and then do whatever you want next.
You can,t sort that column, I have tried. I think I have to export the file and work on it there

In Excel or free OpenOffice, LibreOffice: the Sort / Filter button at the top of each column:
