Swaps ignored

I don’t have too many coins others want but I seek swaps in good faith. It annoys me that they ignore my swap request , I at least politely refuse with good wishes. Common courtesy?
I agree, I’ve faced that too. So I make it a point to reply to everyone even if it’s just to politely say I’m not interested
.

Yes I agree its common courtesy, and I always reply.

But unfortunately not everyone replies to my requests either.

Swapping makes a change!
Response - whichever it may be - is really a common courtesy and it doesn't take more than a couple of minutes to sift through someones swap offer.
Another aspect of it is a TIMELY response. I, for one, delete all my unresponded swap offers after 5-7 days.
Pity there's no option of "blocking" a member - I am not interested in repeatedly seeing in my search results people whom I am not interested dealing with.
The problem is that a lot of members here do not check their profiles for months, that is why a lot of people do not reply.

I always receive an email when someone issues a swap request

Quite a few people don't check their emails regulary either.

I reply to all swap requests but not everyone replies to mine. I mean even if you're not interested, replying with a simple, short one-line message is better than ignoring it completely.
I agree with all your comments , clearly you find it impolite too to just ignore the request . Most people on this site are very friendly and helpful , so it’s a few bad apples spoil it .
I completely agree. It seems that some members just ignore requests. We all look at our messages. What does it take to deny a swap request ? I think it's the decent thing to do. I personally don't want to keep members wondering if they're ever going to hear from me.

Yeah - right now I have a couple that have been there for quite a while. My buddy phil is always slow so it's no problem but I have several first swaps offered and haven't heard from them. I always check the profile where it tell last time they visited and if it's over a month I don't bother
If you don't stand for something you'll fall for anything
