Are fakes produced locally?

I know the majority of fakes come out of China, but how many, if any, are produced in the real coin’s country of origin? Ashlobo mentioned a ring in Uttar Pradesh in another thread that puts out fake circulating coinage, but for purely numismatic fakes, how many are made in their country of origin? Obviously there will be much stricter laws on legal tender currency, but I’m not sure how much trouble they’ll get into if it’s a token or has since been demonetised (as is the case with most British predecimal pieces and most pre-euro currencies). Are any of these fake pieces produced in their respective nations?
Canada for one......

It ain't what you don't know that gets you into trouble.  It's what you know for sure, that just ain't so.  Mark Twain
Here is another Canadian case; https://search.proquest.com/docview/2262941396/pagelevelImagePDF/2989E2816F6F43C6PQ/2?accountid=140093 I have coffee every morning with a retired RCMP that worked this case. This is a photo of the fake loon they produced. The machinist was telling the truth but he had rented a small back room to 3 other gentlemen who pled guilty.
As for fake modern coins in general circulation almost all are being produced locally, not in China. China mainly produces counterfeit bullion, collectors coins and rare old coins.

In the UK for example by far most fakes in general circulation were made in the UK itself. A few counterfeiting rings are known to have produced counterfeit modern UK circulation coins located in China, the Netherlands and Italy but these are very rare cases.
This thread is discussing fake numismatic coins, e.g. NCLTs, bullion coins, and types that have been demonetised or withdrawn. I know most of these come out of China, but I’m wondering how many are made locally.
I think (almost) none. I have never heard of any cases and I have been into counterfeit coins for a long time.
Bullion, almost certainly China like the fake Perth Mint gold bars that turned out to be gold paper on Manganese or Iron.

This thread is really good as the fake Perth Mint stuff and PAMP silver bars are every where and especially on the Chinese websites like Wish and Aliexpress.
I love coins. Especially silver, gold and anything really old.
