Coin Sets: Mint sets, Proof Sets, Unc sets, etc

Is there a way to include in our Numista a list of official sets for each country?

For example at the end of each country a list of KM#, Dates, Mintage, Issue price and Value
Including Mint sets, Proof sets, Uncirculated sets, Piefort sets and Commemorative coin sets.

That would be a great addition to the Numista catalogue.

Thanks! and keep up the good work!

Is there a way to revive the suggestion of adding sets?
The posts requesting it were from a few years ago.

I just believe there is not enough response from Numista community to add sets, e.g. voting on top of the suggestions. I personally agree, that official sets should be added, but some people do not, and, honestly, I don't understand their logic.
You have my vote on this!
Eurocoin sets are very popular.

I buy annual sets from Royal mint. Is there a way to add the purchase cost of the set as all I can see is individual coin prices

As sets are not supported, no. You can only add the information in the comments for future reference (maybe on all the smallest or largest denomination) if the feature ever gets implemented. You can also group your sets this way and search for their names in your collection under My comments.

Thank you. It was really for guesstimates for values. I’ll go through my sets and do as you say

I could see quite a simple solution for that. With the Euro coins the Official coin sets are very popular, so i can suggest this solution, but i am sure it could work also with non-Euro sets.

When you choose EURO coins within the Countries using EURO, then you see all the coins issued, 1cent to 2Euros, commemorative 2euros and others like 1.5Euro , 5 Euro 10Euro coins and others. So why couldn't be added another “coin” which will be called " Euro set" , where you can choose an issue year and price, you paid for it? This seems simple to implement..

The disadvantage of this solution is that inside the set you get a coin of 1 cent for example which will not be reflected in your list of 1 cent you have.

To deal with that a more comprehensive solution is needed ..

For example:

In case of Euro country there is another field or window called “Euro set” where you choose the year and price. The system then automatically adds one unit to your  list in “my coins” , for the coins 1c to 2Euro . (if the set includes also other coins like 2euro commemorative, then external source must to be used to determine which special coins are included in the set, or just those will be ignored).

And setting the price for individual price could be determined either by the price already in the catalogue or just setting a price according the nominal. For example you buy a set for 38Euro. The nominal is 3.88E. So the 1Euro coin will get a price of 9.80E (1 / 3.88 x 38), the 5cent will be 0.49Euro . Theses values would be not real in lot of cases , but they can be changed manually. I know this has also impact on setting a real catalog price..

But we can always start with the “simple solution” ..

Thanks, will try with simple solution. I’ve added to notes the cost on one of them anyway for now.

I agree with Ludvikj's simple solution.

Just add the “coin” “Proof / Unc set” at the end of each country.

It will allow us collectors to keep track of our sets as part of the same collection,

It will allow us to swap with other members of the community.

No need at the beginning to have all pictures and all varieties.

Just try it out and eventually it will be improved over time.

Thanks to all the administrators and developers of Numista!!

Merci!
