Put simply, there are an awful lot of banks that issued notes in China. The most important are:
Bank of China (1912-1942)
Bank of Comminications (1912-1942)
Farmers Bank of China (1934-1944)
Central Bank of China (1923-1949)
People's Bank of China (1948-present)
All five of these issued notes nationally during the Republic of China (mainland) with the last also being the sole issuer for the People's Republic of China. Most of the Chinese notes currently in Numista are from these five banks, so the creation of these five is requested first.

Thank you! I added these banks.

I just tried to add Central Bank of China for this note only to find that it wasn't in the list of options. The other four banks are present. Is it just a case of being patient for the server to update?

I made a mistake when adding the Central Bank. It should be fine now.
Xavier,
Some notes that look like they are Chinese notes, but they were issued by Weihaiwei under British rule.

They are dated between 1914 & 1927.

Aidan.
