Doesn't this remind you of the Queen's portrait on some banknotes?

This is the picture;

This picture is by Pietro Annigoni.

The portrait of Queen Elizabeth II on Rhodesia's 1964 to 1968 banknote issues are derived from this.

Aidan.
I believe it was also used on the Malta, Mauritius & Seychelles (1968-1973) Issues too.

The portrait, but not an entire portrait was used on this Ghana 500 Sika from 2002, to commemorate the Golden Jubilee.

The coin is listed in Exonumia. https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces79829.html

This is my coin, and I seem to be the only one who has it.

I'm just a collector of coins, not a slave to it, unless I am in a coin shop.

I do have a few of the Mauritian banknotes - but the Maltese & Seychelles' notes are elusive to me so far.

Aidan.
I also have the Mauritius banknote, but not the other two.

I forgot the East Caribbean Issue:

which are fairly easy (& inexpensive) compared to the Seychelles & Malta banknotes.

Both these countries are hard (or expensive) to come by.

I inserted the link to the P-17 Seychelles 50 Rupees deliberately. It is commonly referred to as the "SEX" note due to the orientation of the palm branches in the design. It had runs in 1968, 69, 70,72 & 1973 so there are plenty out there but demand/ popularity far outstrips their scarcity. Book Values range from $900 to $2,250 USD but recently I have seen the cheapest version P-17d (1972) auction off for over twice the $900 BV (in UNC-66). The same can be said for P-15a/b Ten Rupees which has"SCUM" discernible in it's design & is extremely popular too. The 100 Rupees (P-18a-e) has no such novelty in it's design & it's BV ranges from $4000-$7000 in UNC .

In East Caribbean States, there are $1, $5, $20 & $100 banknotes with the portrait
