Ecuador 20 sucres - 1958 [solved]

4 posts • viewed 58 times
I possess a 20 sucres banknote dated Nov 25, 1958.
It looks exactly like P# 115 but according to the page this one was only printed starting in 1961.
I don't know much about banknotes and I don't feel comfortable editing the page or adding the new banknote if it is a different type. Can someone clarify if the new date needs to be added, or a new page is warranted?

Here are the pictures of my banknote (NOTE: P#115 pictures are of a tear banknote, mine aren't much better but at least it is in one piece. You may want to consider using my picture instead (feel free to do so, you can put the (c) as Limbru).

Thanks!
Alex.

Hi Limbru,
Your note is actually P#102 and not in Numista's catalog, I have created a page here for it
https://en.numista.com/catalogue/note232680.html
you will need to wait a bit maybe 1-3 days or so for the refferee to accept it, then you can upload your image for it.
P.S. the image of my burnt banknote isnt that bad :°
I'll be glad to do so as soon as I see the page available.

I don't have a banknote catalog and I don't know much about types and varieties. I've been cataloging the few banknotes I have and I have found several (Uruguay, Chile, Paraguay, Argentina, Peru) that seem to be missing; yet I feel I don't have enough information on how to create the pages for them.

Thanks for adding the page for me.

Incidentally, you could also use this link for the P-102 Ecuadorian 20 Sucres or the Bank Note Museum for more info on South American (& other World) currencies.
