Description

This 6 coin Fine Silver Proof Set was issued by the RAM in 2007.

Four of the six coins in the set are  based on the standard circulation coins as issued by the RAM in 2007. All of them have the Ian Rank-Broadley 4th Portrait of Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse. The 20 cent and $1 coins are based on NCLT commemorative coins issued by the RAM into Mint & Proof sets in 2007.

The Commemorative coins celebrate the modern Australian life saving movement which began in 1907 when the NSW Surf Bathing Association was founded. Today, generations of Surf Livesavers, both volunteers and paid clubs, watch over our social activities on Australia's beaches keeping the community safe in the water. The surf lifesaver has become a symbol of Australia's identity.

Coins were issued in individual capsules, then placed in slots in a Western Australian Jarrah wood presentation box, then in an outside cardboard slipcase.

Additional information from the inside of the set.
