Description

This 6 coin Mint Year set was issued by the RAM in 1998.

There were five standard definition coins included, 5c, 10c, 20c, $1 & $2.

This was the final Mint Set to feature the 3rd Portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Raphael Maklouf.

The 50 cent coin was a commemorative coin, celebrating Bass and Flinders who circumnavigated the island of Tasmania establishing that it was in fact separated from the main part of Australia. George Bass and Matthew Flinders lead the expedition in 1798.

Coins were issued in a blister pack cardboard card which was inserted in a cardboard outer sleeve.
