Ten żeton został wyemitowany przez plantację "Silau" w Asahanie, firmę założoną około 1890 roku, która pierwotnie uprawiała tytoń jako główną uprawę. Jednak około 1913 r. firma zaczęła uprawiać kauczuk jako dodatek do tytoniu.
