Upamiętnienie stulecia Statuy Wolności (1886-1986)
Wolność oświetlająca świat.
Statua była darem narodu francuskiego dla Amerykanów na znak przyjaźni i została odsłonięta 28 października 1886 r. w obecności prezydenta Stanów Zjednoczonych Grovera Clevelanda z okazji stulecia amerykańskiej Deklaracji Niepodległości. Umieszczono go na wyspie przy wejściu do nowojorskiego portu.
