Jako gubernator Gilan (stolica w Rasht), Hedayat Allah uznany za władcę i bił monety w imieniu Ali Murad Khan Zand do AH1199, a następnie próbował uzyskać niepodległość, prawdopodobnie z rosyjską pomocą, w AH1199-1200, ale został pokonany w 1200 roku przez Qajars, schwytany i zabity wkrótce potem. Qajar monety Agha Muhammad Khan rozpoczęto w Rasht w 1201 roku.
