Pierwsza płaska moneta Tajlandii, którą Rama III zamierzał zastąpić kowri. Zatrudnił Roberta Huntera, szkockiego kupca, do wykonania wzoru monet. Jednak król nie zatwierdził żadnego z wzorów monet, ponieważ lotos jest symbolem Krom Tha (Departament Portów, który zajmuje się obcokrajowcami), będąc nieodpowiednim symbolem dla monet Syjamu. Monety z tym wzorem nigdy nie zostały zdenominowane.
