(en) Inscription (with ligate letters) in beaded or plain-line tablet with ringed pellets at either end, in centre of vertical wreath of small horizontal leaves either side of a solid line enclosed in round-cornered panels. Heart shaped 'faces' and splayed pellet V-shapes in opposite angles.

Kretz Type A (Early):
A1 (Sills DK 573 var. 1; BMC 1836A): Hearts at 11 and 5 o’clock, V-shapes at 1 and 7 o’clock, panel border of tiny pellets, neat CAMVL with A-M-V ligate , central pellet. Stocky horses, ringed pellet below, tiny pellet under tail, lower edge of leaf convex; CVNO. See CCI 01.0834.
A2 (Sills DK 573 var. 2): Hearts at 1 and 7 o’clock, panel border of plain lines, CAMVL with A-M-V-L (leaning) ligate. Ringed pellet below horses, tiny pellet under tail, lower edge of leaf slightly concave; CVNO. See CCI 05.0798. This is Chris Rudd's ‘Early Type with Ringed Pellet’ (Chris Rudd List 142, 7 Sep 2015, lot 38).
A2 var. 1 (Sills DK 573 var. 3): Pellet above horse and under horse’s tail, lower edge of leaf straight; CVN.
A3 (Star; Sills DK 573 var. 4): As A2 but blundered CAMVL with final L inverted. Small star above horse, pellet under horse’s tail, lower edge of leaf straight; CVNO. See CCI 95.0407.

Kretz Type B (Late):
B1 (Sills DK 573 var. 5): Hearts at 1 and 7 o’clock, panel border of plain lines, expanded CAMVL with A-M-V ligate. Four-spoked wheel below horses, no pellets, lower edge of leaf convex; CVNO. See CCI 95.0571, CCI 96.1101.
B2 (Sills DK 573 var. 6): As A2 with A-M-V-L (leaning) ligate. Reverse as B1 with wheel but horses plumper. See CCI 97.1631.
B2 var. 1: As B2 but pellet under tail. See CCI 99.0488.
B3 (Sills DK 574; VA 1913-01; BMC 1836): Obverse as A2 but reading CAIAL (A unbarred). Reverse as B2 var. 1. See CCI 69.0373.
B4: Obverse as B1 but A unbarred. Reverse as B2 var. 1 but larger horses. See CCI 02.0478, CCI 97.2120.

Sills Biga (11 obverse, 10 reverse dies): North Thames Coinage; Type: Cunobelinus; Quarter Staters: Class 1 - Biga. A simplified version of the stater (ABC 2771).

Sills DK 573 var. 5 (Kretz B1): CAMVL with A-M-V ligate (bar on A often omitted) in plain-line panel, heart in top right and bottom left quadrants. Four-spoked wheel below horses, sometimes with pellets in quadrants of wheel. See CCI 95.0571, CCI 96.1101.
Sills DK 573 var. 6 (Kretz B2):  A-M-V-L (tilted) ligate. Wheel below horses.
