Announced redemption at 5000 Roubles until December 30, 1996; and at 10 000 Roubles after.
(ad from "Pravda" newspaper, #263 (26711), 11.11.1991)
Central Bank of Russia banned an issuance and circulation of deposit certificates of such a type (see its Letter #14-3-20, 10.02.1992), and withdrew them from circulation.
Soon after certain depositors of Russian Exchange Bank could get the item as a present from the Bank, in a special branded gift box made of jasper and marble.
