I think you should be able to select on your profile if your pronoun is either he or she or whatever, you should be able to stay anonym, you just should have the choice to select it imo.
Edit: this thread definetly didn't go out as I thought it would. Nvm, I now understand why it won't be happening.
Yeah... how about no?
There is absolute no need for something like this, this is not social media.

I agree, your gender is completely irrelevant to Numista or the hobby.
I collect and deal in ancient Roman coin. In case you're looking for affordable ancient coins or need any help with the coins you already have send me a message.
Would be more relevant whether you tolerate Proof coinage or not :O

I like to remind you this is a very intresting website about coins. Not about politic-correct-nonsens. Thank you

A hornet's nest you would be opening.

Next we will have to grant separate threads to all the gay, brown, drag queens like myself.
No thanks - us drag queen coin collectors want to be in the mainstream.

I am glad I just blend in on this site, regardless of my affinity for Rupaul and her ladies.

It's a coin site, not the womyns collective of male mammothology. Or the UN project for inclusiveness and diversity of all in previously mainly White middle class hobbies like stamps and coins.

I had such a hard time on the Musician themed forum boards, as I like mostly Black artists (Prince and Michael Jackson) and these boards proliferate with two types of people, angry Black women who hate men and anyone not Black and usually throw racist and "yo is a raciss ass kracka" around like we do the word coin.

The other are the zealots, usually gay men with inflexible views and the moderators often chuck out people who do not agree with the "ultra leftist men are satan and so are all white people mentality" that prevails on these sites.

Here in coinland I can just be myself without worrying I offend Namazika Jones with my male whiteness and the fact I will never get Prince because I aint a systa or a brotha (I am brown, but a NZ Maori, not an African or African American).

Anyone wanting proof - go to Prince org and read the General Discussion part (Mostly lurid sex stories from the aforesaid gays and women) and Politics and Discussion (About how Trump is a Nazi and Blacks are victims of all white people and commiting crime is justified), Prince Music and More (Mostly about these heffas wanting to have sex with him and nerdy fans blasting the newbies for not knowing when every note he recorded was done exactly - along with general abuse for anyone who only likes Purple Rain). Then you have their Other music section and they all love the rappers and all the alternative artists like Michael Kiwanuka, India Arie and Tori Amos and endless squabbling between Michael Jackson fans and the Prince fans who call him a paedophile.

Middle of last year I left all that and came here and on CCF - its been roses ever since and my heart rate has dropped right back.
I love coins. Especially silver, gold and anything really old.

Whether I get blasted by the PC Police or not, my assumptions would be.

CRAZY GENERALISATIONS - PLEASE DON'T ROAST ME - TAKE WITH A GRAIN OF BRIOCHE

1. Most members and most forum posters here are Males, yet there probably are quite a few women as well.

2. Most are of some or all European descent (I assume many are French, Dutch, German, British and American), yet I know we have some Indian people, possibly a couple of Asians and even Antipodeans. I am willing to be I am the only Maori though.

3. Compared to most Numismastists, we are a young group (20s through early 50s) and most of us are probably middle class/well off. There maybe even a few children and teens too.

4. Most of us are probably married and have families with young children (I am not though), or if not primarily straight (Heterosexual).

5. Most are well educated, many younger people have intimated they are studying at a University or at least High School (Secondary and Tertiary level). Coin collecting to a serious level requires a certain level of intelligence and the Labouring classes generally can not be bothered or would not be able to do/afford it, beyond inheriting and accumulating coins with little prior knowledge.

I think these points are largely true as here in NZ I am in 5 stamp clubs and one coin club and the majority of people are old White men and women, with a few middle aged ones. You see a few Indians and Chinese - but apart from 3 or 4 well known Singaporean and HK Chinese - their interactions do not go beyond the trends (China stuff) and investing (Buying proof sets for immediate money making).

All of our attempts to attract young adults (18 - 30) and Brown People (Maoris and Islanders) fail as most are either - Too poor/ Too busy with work and family/Not educated enough/ Not interested or can't be bothered putting time into it.

I find my fellow race members generally don't care about coins and stamps, unless they think its valuable (They always think their common inherited junk is worth kazillions though) and mostly their hobbies are playing rugby/league - drinking, listening to rap or reggae or playing video games.

Yeah well okay sorry for even trying to make a suggestion to improve/modernize this site, the only thing I learnt from this thread is to not even touch the "Forum" tab.

Only adressing this part since I can't be bothered to read all of it. I didn't say there would have to be segregation like with black people in the 60', I only ever said that it would be nice to be able to have the option.
